Vara Mahalaxmi Festival
Being a north Indian I never new what a vara mahalaxmi festival is until ashok have sent me an SMS saying "Happy Vara Maha Lakshmi Festival to U & Ur Family".
As soon as I received this message, I was surprised and thoght, Is ashok joking? Than I thought that May be there is a festival called Maha Vara Lakshmi but as of now I know there is only one mahalaxmi festival called Deepawali. Some people calls it as Diwali as well.
It was already 7 P.M. I was at home. I suddenly saw outside from the Zarokha in my house towards the road and It was really some kind of festival. Womens were putting Aangi on the road and houses have lamps lighting. I asked one of my neighbour and they told that it is a festival of karntaka. It is just like deepawali. I immediately went to bath and then come to the temple in our house to pray the God.
Thanks Ashok for reminding me, that It was Vara Mahalakshmi Festival. But still confused whether It is the same thing as Deepawali or something like that.
